Each Askbot-powered site has settings, in which the administrators can choose, among other things,

• to allow or to prevent questions by guest users,
• to place questions by new users under moderation.

Administrators can also decide on a list of words which will block any post from being posted.

There is also a setting to block posts by new users that contain hypertext links. One issue is that these posts don't appear in the moderation queue, and that no explanation is given to the person trying to post as to what is preventing them from posting.
