Fix to this is available in the master branch on github, and deployed on the hosted sites (excluding this one:).
When you change status of the spammer's account to "blocked", these things will happen:
- "homepage url" and "about" sections will be hidden
- user's account won't appear on the "users" page
What will not change at the moment:
- the account itself will stay in the system
- user's content stays in the system too - will need to be deleted separately
We'll make this update available in the next release.
