autoselect accepted answer
There should be an option in Askbot, that auto-selects a particular answer as accepted after a timeout period if the user hasn't manually accepted an answer within that period and if any one of the answers has an upvote or there is only one answer.

or maybe send the user an email or notification to remember him to select a correct answer?
that will work for some cases but we don't necessarily have their email address
