default email settings

I would like new users to get email alerts by default instead of having to choose when they sign up and the alerts should be sent instantly instead of weekly by default. It all should remain configurable of course

Yeah. emails should be sent out by default. If users doesn't want emails they can switch it off.

@sagarun, can you get some patches for changing the defaults? As long as you let the admin configure it as per their needs, it isn't a problem

Its already there in the settings, Please visit http://ask.fedoraproject.org/settings/EMAIL/ and check for "Default news notification frequency", Set it to "instantly". That will do!
