That, to mainly fight spamming of course.

Great! Now, if I want to install a new system using the repo version, what version of Django will work? Any idea when the repo version will be released as stable?
1.3.1 for now until version 0.7.44 is out. We are working on supporting django 1.4 but do not have a release date unless someone votes with their dollars/pesos or other currency to accelerate the process.
This is not an answer, but just an attempt to keep this alive, if it has not been implemented yet.

judging from the tag that Evgeny added, this is not there , at least not yet. that's a bit of a pity because I believe its a top priority for a social/public CMS and this feature has been around even in PhpNuke 20 years ago.. and it's default on osqa.. So i have to say I'm a bit let down as all the fancy django stuff are there but I miss a feature that is quite necessary from preventing your site becoming a mess by the spammers. I have now consider moving back to OSQA just for that reason.
